London Round 5

Back and forth, back and forth. It seems that I spend more time on a plane than I do in one place now. I don't want to complain because I am finally happy and if it means I have to fly to a different country to see him then so be it. We are looking for a solution in the meantime so if any ones knows someone in London that wants to hire a little blond American girl let me know.

We had a great 10 days. It fun having someone who laughs at my stupid jokes and beating me to my own punchlines.
Last time I was there Jon and I happened upon a place that blew me away. It was an old public toilet, yes you heard me right, that is now a bar. It's the size of my nyc living room, which is tiny. While we were there last time we all of a sudden heard a piano start playing and a man in a top hat came out and started singing show tunes. I was in heaven! It ended up being open mic night Broadway style. So of course I had to go back this time around...

This time we brought his guy friends to witness it. They loved it.

Maybe a little too much...Here he is, the one and only Champagne Charlie. He is the host of the night and a fab tap dancer.
Halloween Night. We didn't dress up...or did we? Jon says we were going as an International Business Man and his girlfriend. Can that work? I know, I know, don't be mad at me. I wanted to dress up but we didn't do anything that required a costume.
I never get sick of this bridge. It's just so beautiful!!!!
My sweet Italian Friend Antanella. Antanella and Warren, aka The Woz. Great Friends of Jon and now me.
How many more photos can we take like this. I think we need to spice it up.
I often wondered if Robin, Batman's sidekick, was gay. My question was answered. Not that there's anything wrong with it....
Every year there are people that go as Knocked up nuns. Why is it so funny? I laugh every time. I really loved the guys on the far lefts tights. I need to get some of those.

Fall Fell Fast

It seems that it was yesterday that it was summer. Well, I guess is kinda was for some people. I NEVER like Summer to go away, as I love love love the heat. But I have no control over the seasons changing. All I can do is accept the Fall with open arms. And a great Fall it has been so far. We haven't seen the leave really change that much but the weather has been so beautiful that we have been spending a lot of time outside. Here is just a few things that have gone on so far:
A few weekend ago my Cousin SheaLea came through New York on her way to Africa. She was only able to come to the city for 3 hours but seeing how she had never been here I told her it was worth it. I adore New York and want everyone to love it as much as I do, so of course I will show you all around the best I can. We did a quick Midtown tour of a few of the basics. She even got some shopping in. I hope she like it enough to want to come back and really see what this city is all about. It was GREAT to see you Shea!!!
With the season changing we tend to eat indoors more often. It starts getting to cold to eat at sidewalk cafes' at night. But on the bright side we get to try places that we have been wanting to try all summer. Ayla, Rachel and I trying out a new Mexican Place in the West Village. I am always on the hunt for good Mexican food up here. Trying to take full advantage of every opportunity to be outside Meredith and I went on a walk down the West Side Walkway. It's our usual place to run. I loved the way the sun was setting over the Hudson River. It even made New Jersey look pretty. One of my views while I run is the Statue of Liberty. It always makes me smile and thankful that I followed my dream.I know this didn't really turn out exactly the way I was hoping but something about it makes it even better than I was shooting for. It's my small camera zooming as far as it could on the Statue of Liberty. With every new of season come a new adventure. My roommate Angie got married. All three of these girls have been my roommates. Meredith (on the far right) was my first here in the city, Ayla (far left) was the second and Angie was the third. So many great memories!! One of my favorite things to do in this city is bike riding. It's the best way to see the city. On Columbus Day we road around Central Park and had a picnic. I always wish I would do it more often.

On Friday I am on my way to London again. I will have to miss Halloween here in the city, which I am sad about, but will get to see Jon, which I am excited about. I am still deciding on if we will dress up for Halloween or not. I can't think of what to be. Every year I have been Britney. This year she hasn't done anything that is worth dressing up for. I've already did the bald thing. Maybe it's time to grow up and stop dressing up. I have a feeling that we will have to make a last minute homemade costume. I of course will post photos if that happens.

One Random Summer

So I haven't taken many photos from this summer. I will try to better in the fall for you all.
Here are a few that I had left on my camera.
One night I went out with one of my best friends Meredith. We didn't realize till we saw this picture that we both looked the same for the night. Hmmm I remember it being cool when we were in Jr. High but at age 32 and in NYC, not so much. It didn't matter though. We still managed to pick up men, haha. The guy in the middle had the hots for Meredith. Yes, the guy in shorts sitting Indian style. He was standing on the other side bar and I saw him noticing her from a distance. So he and his friend came to sit closer to her hoping that it would help his chance. Did I mention that he is wearing shorts and sitting Indian style??One of my best high school friends came to NY for work. Tyler Turner. It was so great to see her. I haven't seen her in years. She was a cheerleader with me since 7th grade and one of my best friends. We went to the Gansavort for a night out in the Meat Packing District. Another night out with my girls Ayla and Meredith. None of us really checked the forecast, not that that would have helped, but there was a huge downpour. We were stuck with only one umbrella for the 3 of us. I'm glad it happened because it made for great memories. We were drenched when we got to the next hot spot.

Weddings Weddings and More Weddings....

When Jon was in town we had 2 weddings to go to in 2 weeks. His friends are now all getting married. They wait up here in the North. I told him that the majority of all my friends are already married and some have 3+ kids and a few of the kids are in High School. A HUGE difference between the North and South.

Nonetheless, here are a few pictures from the weddings we attended.

This one was in Philly for a College friend of his. I met them a year ago when I met Jon at the wedding in Newport, RI. Who knew that I would be a guest this time and not the wedding planner.
Wedding Number 2: New Jersey. This was for his best friend in High School. He was in this one. It was a beautiful wedding and seemed to go on for a while. Longer than any wedding I have ever been to. Started at 3pm and ended at 1am.I was showing off my glow stick routine during cocktail hour that really lasted 2 hours.

Jon and his mom tearing up the dance floor.I have 2 friends getting married this year. One in October here in NYC and one in November at St. Martin. I only have 2 single close friends left. Hopefully they will hold out with me.

It Was a Very Chitty Reunion

Every Labor Day the Chitty clan gets together for our reunion. We have never had the entire group together ever. I think there has always been someone missing. It makes sense since we have 65+ people on that side. We did have all of the 7 brother and sisters though. Here is my dad and all his brothers and sisters. My brother and Kelly and their kids and my cousin Hollie and Justin and their family with Grandmother.

Hollie and I. We are missing Heidi. Both her and Heidi are expecting their 3rd child. They really are not waiting on me.
My favorite Aunt Susie. A true ragin Cajun.
Tyler is turning 7 this year and loosing so many teeth. He even lost a tooth while they were in Mexico on vacation. He said that the Mexican Tooth Fairy came and left him a peso.
Tyler and Elisabeth and Pinkie Pie.
She loves her Big brother so much. I just hope he doesn't make her believe things that aren't true like our dog Petty going blind because he bumped into a stop sign and dirt got in his eye. Thanks Rick.
Rick and Elisabeth and Pinkie Pie. Mom and I picked out that pony for her and I guess it was a good pick. she loved it.
Elisabeth and Riley, Hollie's daughter, got along wonderfully. They were inseparable.

They were actually attached to me the whole time as well. I think they saw me as one of them.

Me, my mom, dad and Rick watching football and watching funny things on YouTube. Just like the old days. It was a great reunion. Maybe next year we will get to have it back in Houma, LA. We will have to do it during non hurricane season though.
