Wanna Be On Top.....

Does anyone else want to punch Tyra Banks in the face like I do?

I am a huge fan of America's Next Top Model but I get so annoyed with watching Tyra Banks. She is so annoying. Seriously, if she were to compete against those girls she would loose.
She tries to give them advice by saying stuff like, "You need to take the look in your eyes from this (example with her eyes that should be showing an intense look) to this (thinking she has changed the look in her eyes when really she didn't)." I don't get it. What look is she trying to make them do. I have tried "smiling with my eyes" in the mirror several times and I physically can't without smiling with my face.
And then tonight, in the season finale, she made this big ole grand entrance with dragons and stuff when really the focus should have been on the models. There she sat like some Asian princess in a kimono. And every time they go to a new country she tries to talk with their accent and language and tries to be so formal but then can turn "girl from the hood" at the drop of a hat. Make up your mind on who you want to be please.

And have you noticed, they never shoot her from the waist down. Hmm wonder why? Maybe it's because she won America's Next Thunder Thighs Contest. Ok, I know that was mean but it's true.

Of all her many jobs that she has attempted, Model, Singer, and talk show host, she has decided to add Photographer to her list. She will get behind the camera and direct the models and make them think she knows what she is doing. I don't see her making lighting decisions or changing the ASO. And who is the mystery guy standing next to her on all her photography shoots? Turns out it's a professional photographer. He sets the whole thing up for her and all she does is snap the camera. If that a photographer makes then congrats everyone, you are all professional Photographers. I must tell my Dad that he has been waisting his time studying the art of the camera.
Ok, I think I got that out of my system. I don't really have to watch her until next season of Model. Until then, I will fill my TV time by watching rival Model Heidi Klum judge clothing designers on Project Runway. Alventizane.

"You'll Shoot your eye out..."

I have had the hardest time getting in the Christmas spirit this year for some reason. Not sure why. It could be because I haven't gone to see the tree at Rockefeller Center or gone through the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave. I love this time of year and I feel that I haven't gotten to experience it. That is, until last week........

Last Sunday I woke up and looked out my bedroom window. It was SNOWING!!! It was unexpected and very magical. I screamed, "Holy Cow It's Snowing!" and immediately I was is the Holiday spirit. I started listening to Christmas music and played in the soft snowflakes on my way to work. I started noticing that the entire city was in the spirit and it was all around me the whole time. I just wasn't noticing it.
One of my favorite things about this city during Christmas is the Christmas Trees for sale on the sidewalks. You walk by them and just have a rush of the pine smell hit your nose. It's wonderful. Seeing people carry the tree that they had picked out home got me in the spirit. Made me want to have one. Where I would put it, I have no idea. My apartment is too tiny for that.
This year for Christmas I will be in NYC. I'm not going home. I will be flying to Houston on the 28th to go on a cruise with the fam. So this year will be an odd Christmas. Hopefully I wont watch too many sappy Holiday films that make me cry. I will stick with The Christmas Story, that's a good happy classic.

Ok, Ok, Ok.....

Why has everyone been thinking I am engaged when I have been single for a year??? Who have you guys been thinking that I was seeing?? Here's what's been going on.....

In September I met a guy at the Rhode Island wedding that I was doing. He was a guest and we just hit it off and danced the entire wedding. He is from NJ but happens to live and work in London. Of course when I finally meet someone that I actually feel I have a lot in common with he has to live in another country.

We have seen each other since. Two weeks after meeting him he had another wedding to go to in Boston. So he got me a ticket to come see him for the weekend. After that we knew that we for sure wanted to see each other yet again. So we planned a trip to London.
I went over for 9 days and it was amazing!!! I am ready to go back and probably will in the next few months. He's a perfect male version of me, dance routine, TV quotes and everything. He will be in NYC in January for my birthday. Maybe one day you can all meet him, but in the meantime I don't want to say too much in case I jinx it. So far it seems too good to be true.

Everyone meet Jon Lay....

Also, I have a new job. Yes, again. I am now in the fashion industry!!!!! Very exited about it and will write another blog on that later.
