A Man of Many Words

There are some things that we never question. Some things that we just enjoy and never think about where they came from or who invented them. Like Paint or VHS Tapes or... Disney Songs.
Thursday I was setting up the Jungle Book DVD release party. The special guest to the party was non other than Richard Sherman. Who is Richard Sherman you ask??? Well you already know him. Actually, you know ALL of his work. He has been with most of you your entire lives and you never even knew it. Here is a list of just a few things he has done that might impress you.
Writer of Songs:
Winnie the Pooh; The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers; It's a Small World; Let's Get Together (The Parent Trap); ALL SONGS ON MARY POPPINS; ALL SONGS ON JUNGLE BOOK; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc, etc...You can go to this site for more info on him http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0792556/

So you can see that I was impressed. And if you know me, you know that my family are huge Disney Fans. This was a moment that I never thought I would have and will never forget. He is the man and the mind behind some of my favorite songs. Songs that I will pass down to my children some day. And to meet him and talk with him makes the songs that more enjoyable.

Work doesn't seem like Work

I had my first wedding last weekend. It was a 14 hour day. We were extremely tired after, of course. Here are some pictures from that wedding.
This was the day before preparing the flowers. The Bride didn't want normal flowers and wanted something very different. So different we gave her.
It's fun working outside in the nice weather with these girls. Barb and Lori are amazing and have the most creative minds.
Sweet Buster (Barb's Dog). He wasn't drinking the water. He just loves sticking his head in the bucket. At the wedding. They had it at the Angel Arasans which is where Sarah Jessica and Matthew Broderick got married. It was so beautiful.

Our team is great and we all work well together. My first NYC wedding went off without a hitch. Up next, the Jungle Book DVD Release Party.

I'm back....

Ok, since I have been MIA from the blogging world I promise to get you all caught up. I will update you all on the job later. But for now, lets start with where we left off.....

Since it's been warm out the summer time events have come to the city. Street Fairs are something I look forward to each year. The smells and the sounds excite me. I can fill up on Corn on the Cob, Funnel Cakes, Watermelon, and Kettle Corn in a snap. You can find anything from jewelry to Ipod chargers there.
Here we are at one a few weeks ago with my best friend's daughter, Logan. Yes, she's almost taller than me. She's 9 and I'm 31. Make all the jokes you want. They look just alike.
Another thing that the warm weather brings is Park trips. Oh I love to go sit in the park and people watch. This is a shot of what I spent an hour of my life doing one day.Yes, some on in NYC has a big enough apartment for these dogs. Not only does he have enough for one, but he owns TWO Great Danes. Yikes, those sure are big poopy bags.FLEET WEEK!! FLEET WEEK!! There is something about a man in uniform. Am I right ladies or am I right??? (well, maybe not these two)
College friend Jim Massie was in town visiting his brother. It's was fun catching up with the Massie boys. First trip of the summer to the beach. We went to Jones Beach which is on Long Island. Misty (in the middle) is moving back to Texas in July. I will miss her deeply. We had every intention of staying out there all day and getting tan but the sun was only out for the length of time that it took me to take these pictures. We were out for an hour and then it started to rain.

So we went to Ikea instead....So that's what you've missed.
I, Jamie Chitty, promise to be a better blogger and keep up with my posts so I am not having to bulk blog every month. I promise to take more interesting photos and to get more celeb sightings on film. I promise to take photos of my new job and update everyone on my where abouts. I will not slack ever again without a good excuse.

MIA

Sorry to all those who have been coming to my Blog to read new news. I have been very busy with life changing activities and haven't had a free moment to sit down and update you.
2 weeks ago I decided to make a career move and quit my job. After 3 years I was mentally done with it. Publicit was never really what I wanted to do. So now I am working with Hatch Creative Studio. It is a event design company and i am helping start a planning side of things. I am planning weddings, parties, and events. It is more to my liking but I am having a hard time relaxing into it. I cant make my own hours, do my own thing and not really have to answer to anyone. It is a hard adjustment but i think eventually i will get the hang of it.
I will update everyone soon with photos and such!!!
