Weddings Weddings and More Weddings....

When Jon was in town we had 2 weddings to go to in 2 weeks. His friends are now all getting married. They wait up here in the North. I told him that the majority of all my friends are already married and some have 3+ kids and a few of the kids are in High School. A HUGE difference between the North and South.

Nonetheless, here are a few pictures from the weddings we attended.

This one was in Philly for a College friend of his. I met them a year ago when I met Jon at the wedding in Newport, RI. Who knew that I would be a guest this time and not the wedding planner.
Wedding Number 2: New Jersey. This was for his best friend in High School. He was in this one. It was a beautiful wedding and seemed to go on for a while. Longer than any wedding I have ever been to. Started at 3pm and ended at 1am.I was showing off my glow stick routine during cocktail hour that really lasted 2 hours.

Jon and his mom tearing up the dance floor.I have 2 friends getting married this year. One in October here in NYC and one in November at St. Martin. I only have 2 single close friends left. Hopefully they will hold out with me.

It Was a Very Chitty Reunion

Every Labor Day the Chitty clan gets together for our reunion. We have never had the entire group together ever. I think there has always been someone missing. It makes sense since we have 65+ people on that side. We did have all of the 7 brother and sisters though. Here is my dad and all his brothers and sisters. My brother and Kelly and their kids and my cousin Hollie and Justin and their family with Grandmother.

Hollie and I. We are missing Heidi. Both her and Heidi are expecting their 3rd child. They really are not waiting on me.
My favorite Aunt Susie. A true ragin Cajun.
Tyler is turning 7 this year and loosing so many teeth. He even lost a tooth while they were in Mexico on vacation. He said that the Mexican Tooth Fairy came and left him a peso.
Tyler and Elisabeth and Pinkie Pie.
She loves her Big brother so much. I just hope he doesn't make her believe things that aren't true like our dog Petty going blind because he bumped into a stop sign and dirt got in his eye. Thanks Rick.
Rick and Elisabeth and Pinkie Pie. Mom and I picked out that pony for her and I guess it was a good pick. she loved it.
Elisabeth and Riley, Hollie's daughter, got along wonderfully. They were inseparable.

They were actually attached to me the whole time as well. I think they saw me as one of them.

Me, my mom, dad and Rick watching football and watching funny things on YouTube. Just like the old days. It was a great reunion. Maybe next year we will get to have it back in Houma, LA. We will have to do it during non hurricane season though.

Puerto Rico = Love

WARNING: Please avert your eyes if you are allergic to seeing a mushy couple and someone who shouldn't be posting bikini photos of herself online.

Finally they are here. Puerto Rico photos!!!!! Jon and I planned this trip all the way back in March and we thought it would never get here. We both were in much need for a real vacation. One where you have nothing planned and you just lay on the beach all day sipping Pina Coladas and Margaritas. This is the same guy who was certain that he didn't need to wear anything stronger than SPF 15. Look at that white body. I convinced, more like told, him to wear 50. He was thankful since he did burn a little the first day with that.We ventured out one day on a catamaran to go snorkeling. Yes, I swam with the fishes. We had an underwater camera that I will have to scan the photos in so you can see me in the water.Snorkels are not the most faltering. I think I probably shouldn't have tried to smile with one on.
So the first time i attempted to get in I cried. Yes, I'm 32 and I cry because a school of Minos swam by me. What of it? I ran back to the shore and sat in the sand with my flippers and mask on crying. It was actually a really funny site. Jon was sweet enough to not take a picture of that, bless him. The second attempt they took us out in the middle and had us jump off the side of the boat. This seemed like an easier thing for me seeing how the water was so clear and I could see everything around me. But as I was about to jump one of the crew members threw bread in the water to attract fish. And boy did it attract them. This prolonged my snorkeling adventure. But once Jon ran all the fish off down I went. Into the deep blue sea. After a while I was able to let go of my baby Kwala Bear grip that I had on Jon and I was swimming all around. It was actually fun. I did see a Sand Shark and didn't even panic. But it did make me worry about what else was around me.
Look at the name of our boat. The Spread Eagle II. We weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into. On the way back our bus blew a tire. We were on the side one the road for about an hour. We had to keep ourselves busy.Back at the hotel to enjoy another beach day.

Why I was doing cheers I don't really know. Maybe it was the sun, Maybe the sand, most likely the rum.We took a day trip to Old San Juan. I had NO idea that it was this beautiful. I could not get over all the colors of the buildings. My dad would have had a hay day taking photos.
I loved this building. It was my favorite color of purple.
It was a very windy day. I think I flashed every one in the city.It reminded me a lot of Southern Italy.

Trying on some of the traditional Puerto Rico garb.

Back to the Hotel...(insert song here) Swimming in the ocean was ok but getting knocked over by the waves and salt water up my nose was not my favorite. The Pool was much cleaner.

And it was easier to have dunking fights. He seemed to always win. But I did kick his butt in Ping Pong. 8 games to 3. I let him win those 3 to not crush his ego.
For some reason he was fascinated with the speaker in the rock. He said he wants to get these for his balcony at his apartment. Any one know where I can buy rock speakers? I don't think they carry those at Best Buy.

It was an wonderful week long trip and I could not have had more fun with another person. I am hoping for many more in the future. Thank you Jon for being such an amazing boyfriend!!! I'm extremely lucky!!!

Old Friends are Blog Friends

Two of my old friends came to NYC for a visit and I was blessed to get to see them for a night.
My dear friend Misty Spenser was in town for a few days last week and we met for dinner. (Misty is the one in the middle) She moved here when I did and we got to know each other from the start. She had baby Drake while she was here and since moving to TX she has baby Luke. It was good meeting baby Luke, who looks just like his brother.
Another old friend was in town. My old Collage suitmate Christy Turk, Now Christy Smith. I haven't seen her since 1999, and I can say that she hasn't changed a bit. Except for the fact that she has 2 kids now. It was so good seeing her. It has been way too long.
Puerto Rico pics to come..... I am waiting for Jon to download his......

News Flash!!!!

Last night while walking home from watching Superman outside in Bryant Park (which by the way was awesome) I had a star sighting. The young Mr. Hailey Joel Osmet. He was hanging out with two other boys. They looked so young and awkward looking. They seemed to be a bit tipsy and were hanging on each other. And by hanging on each other I mean in a "more than friends" sort of way. They were looking to see if they could get in any of the bar's on MacDougal but seeing how they all looked like they were 13 their chances were slim. They had a moment of glancing at the bongs in a window, which didn't surprise me since he was arrested for pot. They eventually went into a theater house where I am guessing they were going to see the hot new play that was on Bleeker. No, we weren't stalking HJO. He just happened to be walking my same direction. I was a little upset that my camera was out of battery, I could have gotten a great photo and sold it to US Weekly. The caption would read, "I See Gay People".
So to sum it up, Hailey Joel Osmet is a young teenager who is searching for something and likes to "experiment" in worldly pleasures. Way to go HJO!! Way to be different then all of young Hollywood today.

New Post Coming Soon!!

I just got back from Puerto Rico with Jon. He is still in town here in NYC. I will post pictures soon.
We had a blast and relaxed, very much needed.

Another interesting fact, I snorkeled. Yes, yes I did. No, it wasn't in a swimming pool, it was in the ocean. In the middle of it in fact. I have photos to prove it. There were fish all around me and I only cried once.

Once I get through this week and Jon leaves I will have time to download everything.
Hope everyone is well and having a great August!!!!
