The Wait is over, Here come some pictures
Here are the photos of my family trip to the lake. Of course all the photos are of the kids but they are the fun ones, right???
I had a Mr. T shirt made for Tyler. I call him Mr. T from time to time so i thought it was fitting. I m sure they will never let him wear it but it was nice to hear him say, "I pity the fool who wears a Mr T shirt, I pity the fool."I Also got him a Light Saber just like Luke Skywalker's. He LOVED it. He loved it so much that he never let it leave his sight. Not only did he sleep with it every night but he even took it to the bathroom with him.
Little Sweet Elisabeth. She loves her dollies and her girly stuff. She is a girly girl. I can't wait for her to get older so we can go shopping together. Here is her with her Cabbage Patch that Nana got for her.I Love this pout. Not sure what it was for though.
Tyler is a really good golfer for 5 years old. I taught him how to line up his putt (like I know) while we were playing putt putt.
Then we took it on the course with the Big Dogs. He was a pro. Lining it up.....
Walking out to his beautiful hit...
He made par. Way to go T!! Here he is waving to his fans.
He doesn't even need a caddy. E wanting to get in on the action.

Opps, I did it again
I have really been horrible at blogging lately. I really have. I just haven't seemed to get back in the swing of things since the job and apartment change. I have a lot of pics to post to update everyone, but they are on my laptop so i will have to post them tonight for you.
Update on my life:
1. Working extremely hard. Seems that everyone is getting married in the month of September.
2. Trying to enjoy the summer as much as I can by going to the beach, brunching with friends, and making fun of all the crazies in the park.
3. Trying to get into several books that i have recently bought but for some reason my attention right now is the size of a nat so i read the first chapter and then get bored.
4. Dating life is, well, it's slow but I am actually having fun which is surprising me. We'll see how things go. I still get hit on by guys 10-15 years younger than me so that makes it tough. Any suggestions on how i can look older?
5. Not too many star sightings to report. Saw Maggie Guilinhal and Stewart Townsend with baby the other day. He's a hottie.
6. Planning a trip to San Diego at the end of September and beginning of October to visit a friend. Never been to CA so am very excited about that.
7. No able to go to my family reunion this year in Houston due to several reasons. Hollie and Heidi please don't hate me. I swear i have good reasons. Work, getting my business an LLC, $$$, and other trips that i have to take. I promise I will fly down another time to see you. I PROMISE.
8. I swam in the Ocean and a Lake this summer. For all of you that know how deathly afraid i am of fish know that this was a huge accomplishment for me. I will post the photos later.
9. I need a hair cut
10. I am officially addicted to caffeine.
So that's me in a nutshell. I will post the photos tonight.

Things you Do for Love
For all my Blogger friends out there I have a question for you.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done for love? ie, move to a different state/country, quit your job, changed religions, traveled to the far depths of the world just to say i love you, etc...
I am doing a little survey for a story and would like to hear your stories. Please leave a comment and let me know.
(new photos coming soon)

There are theives in New York??
OK, I know, I haven't been keeping up with my blog. But i have an excuse. My suitcase got stolen with my camera charger in it and I can't download photos to the computer to blog them.
A week ago I came back from a Family trip to the lake, which by the way I have several fun photos to share, and I needed to pick up my keys from a friend. I left my suitcase tucked away under the stairwell of their apartment for a wee bit so I didn't have to carry it all the way up.
When I came back down it was gone. Taken in broad day light. Right from underneath me. I was gone for only 5 minutes.
OK well, really i was gone for about 20, but still. I freaked out on a few people that were around when the disappearing suitcase happened. I questioned everyone I saw. I decided to make whoever stole it feel really guilty so I wrote sad soppy letters to the tenants in the building posting them all over the building and sliding them under each door as well. I wanted my suitcase back and wanted it now.
It had ALL of my MAC make-up and make-up brushes and everyone knows how expensive it is to replace that. My Camera, Blackberry, and Ipod chargers. Clothes and more clothes. My favorite necklace of the season, and a pair of blue open toe medium height shoes that were my favorite (see blog of me and my roommate standing in the rain for visual). Not to mention every nice bra that I owned $$$.
I have been spending the week trying to replace all that was stolen. It's been tough and pricey. The one thing that I thought would be a cinch to get is being the toughest. The camera charger. No one sells a Samsung NV3 Charger and when I have called Samsung directly they just keep giving me the run around and sending me to different people where i have to wait on hold forever.
SO, I have a suspect of who stole the suitcase. I think it was the cleaning lady, in the front apartment, with the laundry basket. I questioned her a lot that day and made her feel REALLY guilty in case if it was her. Yes, i know that was mean of me but she didn't seem right.
Wednesday I got a call from some lady saying that she found some family photos of me in the trash in the Bronx. When I asked her how she got my number she hesitated and said, "umm ehh, on a luggage tag".
Apparently my bag was in the "trash" in the "Bronx" empty with just the family photos in it. Now, I know people in this city and NO ONE would go out of their way to call you if they found something of yours in the trash. I consider myself a nice and caring person and I wouldn't even do that.
UNLESS, this "Bronx caller" read a sign that I posted around the apartment buildings stating that I was extremely upset that my family photos were in the suitcase and they were irreplaceable. Hmmmmm, I think I might have something here.
So this weekend, after sunbathing myself at the beach and then spending all my money and sanity at Ikea, I plan to go talk to the people who hire this "cleaning lady" and see what I can find out.
I am a regular Columbo.

A Man of Many Words
There are some things that we never question. Some things that we just enjoy and never think about where they came from or who invented them. Like Paint or VHS Tapes or... Disney Songs.
Thursday I was setting up the Jungle Book DVD release party. The special guest to the party was non other than Richard Sherman. Who is Richard Sherman you ask??? Well you already know him. Actually, you know ALL of his work. He has been with most of you your entire lives and you never even knew it. Here is a list of just a few things he has done that might impress you.
Writer of Songs:
Winnie the Pooh; The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers; It's a Small World; Let's Get Together (The Parent Trap); ALL SONGS ON MARY POPPINS; ALL SONGS ON JUNGLE BOOK; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc, etc...You can go to this site for more info on him http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0792556/
So you can see that I was impressed. And if you know me, you know that my family are huge Disney Fans. This was a moment that I never thought I would have and will never forget. He is the man and the mind behind some of my favorite songs. Songs that I will pass down to my children some day. And to meet him and talk with him makes the songs that more enjoyable.
