Newport, RI

It's wedding central around here. We just did a wedding in Newport, RI. It turned out to be beautiful and fun! Here are some sweet details for you...

A Night with the Girls

Not too long ago the girls attended a party for a friend in the Financial District. It was a fun night. The apartment was directly across from the NYSE. We vary rarely go below Canal Street but this time we made an exception and ended up having a blast. Here are a few shots from that night.

A little here and there...

Here are a few pics that I haven't posted yet. Just random shots of my life in the city.
In the shadow of my city , I enjoy Frutti de Boscco gelato. I don't have enough shots of the landmarks. I will do a better job.Dave Dewese, Bethany and I giving our best Zoolander pose.
A night out with B.

Watching the US Open on the jumbo-tron in Madison Square Park while Bethany tries to study for the CPA. She didn't get a lot of done. We ended up going shopping instead.

No Kidding

This morning on my way to work , while wearing my favorite black heals, I had a problem. I stepped on the lone manhole in the middle of the street and got my heal stuck in the ONE tiny hole in the manhole. Now, this always seems to happen and you usually just give a little pull and you are back on your way. Not the case this time. It was in there. It was so stuck I was not going anywhere. I pulled and pulled and nothing. I looked up and saw traffic coming my way so I took my foot out and started pulling with my hands. Nothing. I actually had to direct traffic away from my show. I was screaming at the honking cabs, "Sorry, please don't hit my shoe", never once asking them to not hit me. I hear a little giggling coming from the sidewalk and looked up to see someone taking photos of me. Sure he could have helped me but that would be non- New Yorker of him. After 5 whole minutes of pulling, screaming at cabs, and contemplating what to do if I have to let the shoe go, I finally was set free. I stood up and blew my hair out of my face all to see now a herd of people gathered standing there applauding me. I waved, put my shoe back on and finished my journey to the office, whilst saying under my breathe, "Only in New York". Does anyone else find it ironic that this was a clip out of the Wedding Planner movie and I am in the same sort of business??? Anyone???

Warm Weather Please Don't Leave

I can’t believe the summer’s almost over. It seems like it just started and next week will are already into September. I haven’t even made a dent in my summer wardrobe. I have only been to the beach three times and have only ridden one roller coaster this year. It seems like the year has moved at a faster pace than I am used to. Before ya know it Christmas will be here and then I turn 32, yikes. I guess it’s time to start making the most of the nice weather and spend every second outside.
Here are a few pictures from a few summer time activities this year.
Going to the beach is easy from the city. We just hop on the train and 30 minutes later we are at Long Beach. Here we are enjoying a nice East Coast Day. Notice my non matching swimsuit??? Ya, that’s what happens when your luggage gets stolen and you have no time to shop for a swimsuit. (me, Angie, Logan, and Ayla) Never have seen these till I moved up to the North, but every time the water runs back from the wave these little white crab like things crawl back to the ocean. Freaks me out. Everyone tried to catch them, me, I tried to avoid screaming like a little girl. Yes, I got into the ocean. Up to my thighs. Logan cheered me on, as I was not going to let a nine year old show me up. Sweet Loo, she is such a sport.

CONEY ISLAND!!!!
I finally made it out there. Apparently they are getting rid of it. Not sure why, not sure what they are really doing to it, they might just be redoing it. Nonetheless, I made it out there. I went with a friend of mine who grew up in Long Island, so he is a pro. He made sure that I got the full Coney Island Experience. Nathan’s is a must!! It was established in 1916 and has the best dogs in the world. I mixed it up with a corn dog and fries. Ummm, delicious. The Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel are a few more ledges. I think the Cyclone is a rush because you never know when it’s going to fall apart.
The Best name for a ride EVER This cat was in charge of this game. I swear, there was no one running it. Kinda odd.

The Wait is over, Here come some pictures

Here are the photos of my family trip to the lake. Of course all the photos are of the kids but they are the fun ones, right???

I had a Mr. T shirt made for Tyler. I call him Mr. T from time to time so i thought it was fitting. I m sure they will never let him wear it but it was nice to hear him say, "I pity the fool who wears a Mr T shirt, I pity the fool."I Also got him a Light Saber just like Luke Skywalker's. He LOVED it. He loved it so much that he never let it leave his sight. Not only did he sleep with it every night but he even took it to the bathroom with him.

Little Sweet Elisabeth. She loves her dollies and her girly stuff. She is a girly girl. I can't wait for her to get older so we can go shopping together. Here is her with her Cabbage Patch that Nana got for her.I Love this pout. Not sure what it was for though.Tyler is a really good golfer for 5 years old. I taught him how to line up his putt (like I know) while we were playing putt putt. Then we took it on the course with the Big Dogs. He was a pro. Lining it up.....

Walking out to his beautiful hit...

He made par. Way to go T!! Here he is waving to his fans.

He doesn't even need a caddy. E wanting to get in on the action.Rick, E and T Going on a Bear hunt.

Dad, T and Mom. Not sure what they were looking at

If you have seen pictures of me at this age you wouldn't be able to tell us apart. At the pool with the kids. Tyler is a great swimmer

Out on the lake. Yes, the worm is real. No, he didn't eat it. I told him that I would pay him to do it though.
Proof that I got in the water with them. Yes, i swam in the lake. I swear i didn't stop kicking my feet and screamed the whole time to scare away anything that might have been close to me. Tyler thought that i was joking the whole time and acting like i was scared. It was real fear, that's for sure.
Poppie and T driving the boat.
Ya that's right, we are Chitty's and we are cool. We know it AND we show it.

This is before the fight broke out on who gets the drive the boat next.
